Book Printing
What binding options do you offer for books?
We offer Perfect Binding (including PUR glue for superior durability), Saddle Stitching, Coil Binding, and Wire-O. Each option suits different page counts, usage, and budgets. Ask us if you’re unsure which is best.
What’s the difference between PUR and EVA glue?
PUR glue offers stronger adhesion, excellent lay-flat qualities, and better performance with coated stocks or high-colour books.
EVA glue is traditional, economical, and ideal for short-run projects with uncoated stock. PUR is our recommended choice for most perfect-bound books thanks to its longevity and flexibility.
What paper options do you have for novels and books?
For interior pages, most authors choose uncoated text stocks for a comfortable reading experience. For covers, we offer sturdy coated or uncoated options, plus laminate in matte, gloss, or soft touch.
Can you help me prepare my files for print?
Yes! We can guide you through exporting proper print-ready PDFs, setting bleed, margins, colour settings, and more. We review all files prior to production to make sure everything prints as expected.
File & Artwork Setup
What file formats do you accept?
We accept PDF as the preferred format. We also work with Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Word and many other file types if needed.
What is “bleed,” and do I need it?
Bleed is extra image area (usually 0.125″) extending past the finished edge to ensure clean trimming. Any artwork that goes to the edge of the page must include bleed.
Do you offer design services?
Yes, whether you need a full layout, cover design, basic formatting cleanup, or simple adjustments, our design team can help get your files print-ready.
Turnaround & Ordering
How long does printing take?
Typical turnaround is 5 business days after proof approval, depending on product type and quantity. Books and specialty-finish jobs may require 2–3 weeks after proof approval. Let us know your deadline and we’ll always try to accommodate.
Can I get a rush order?
Absolutely. Rush options are available for many products. Contact us to confirm timelines and availability.
Do you provide proofs?
Yes, digital proofs are standard for most orders. Printed proofs are available upon request for colour-critical or book projects.
How do I get a quote?
Because every job is unique and we want to get the details right, we prefer you send us the details via e-mail or by filling out the quote form on our webpage. If you have any questions or concerns, we’re more than happy to walk you through the process and answer questions along the way.
Pricing & Payment
How do you price your printing?
Pricing depends on quantity, size, paper type, finishing, and turnaround requirements. We provide fast, accurate quotes via email or through our website’s project submission form.
Do you have minimum order quantities?
Most digital print items have no minimum. Books can be produced affordably in very small runs, even 1–10 copies. With perfect binding, due to the machine setup, our minimum order is 25 books.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, e-transfers, Interac, and provide invoices for approved customers. We do require a deposit on all book projects.
Special Finishes & Equipment
What specialty finishes do you offer?
We offer laminating, foil-like metallic effects, clear spot embellishments, synthetic tear-proof stocks, and PUR perfect binding. Our Xerox Iridesse allows beautiful CMYK+ spot colour embellishments for standout marketing pieces.
Can you handle large or complex jobs?
Yes, from catalogues and multi-page booklets to mailout campaigns and custom marketing packages, we regularly handle complex jobs with tight timelines.
